Dear Cadwalader Families,
It is my pleasure to welcome you and your child to Cadwalader Elementary. I would like to formally introduce myself. My name is Patricia M. Planter your Parent Liaison. I have been working in the Trenton Public School District for several years as a Parent Liaison. My job is to promote parental involvement through various activities, assist families and staff with needs or concerns and to help develop a positive learning environment.
As a Parent Liaison one of my primary goals will be to ensure Cadwalader students attend school daily to reduce chronic absenteeism. School attendance is critical, and studies have shown that children who attend school can become successful learners. My second goal is to bridge the communication gap between the home, school, and community. Last but not lease is to build a school PTO Parent Teacher Organization. Parents your support is welcomed and needed to get involved making a difference in the Trenton School District.
Working with families is my joy and I am pleased to serve you. I can help provide community resources that could make things easier within the family. During my Parent Liaison work I have strived to keep the families engaged, connected parents with the community, assisted families with finding housing, provided referrals for additional food and have developed strong partnerships.
I would like to thank you for providing me with an opportunity to work with you this year. I look forward to learning and growing within the Cadwalader Family.
